HISTORY OF SRI PARTHASARATHY SWAMY KOIL AT TRIPLICANE
Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Koil at Triplicane, one of the 108 Divya Desams, It is said that for at least five thousand years.
According to Brahmanda Puranam, the five Deities in the temple are said to have been worshipped by the Saptah Rishis, Bhrigu, Marichi, Atri, Markandeya, Sumathi, Saptharoma and Jabali and also had been sung by two of the earliest "Alwars Sri Vaishnava saints, Sri Peyalwar and Sri Thirumazhisai Alwar and Sri Kaliyan ( Thirumangaimannan).
